Witness to a World Record

Thursday was the "Wroclaw Guitar City" festival. Approximately 1,940 guitar players gathered in the rynek and simultaneously played Jimi Hendrix's "Hey Joe." There were people hauling electric guitars with amps, some guy had a Harley Davidson guitar, and there were even little kids playing their guitars. They were scheduled to play together at 4:00pm, so there was a pre-world record concert before hand, just to keep everyone entertained as the guitar players filed in. This concert consisted of three songs: "Wroclaw and Rock N' Roll," "Wild Thing," and "Mustang Sally." By the end of the afternoon, I'm sure that everyone knew the chords to those three songs.

(Disclaimer: I did not take this picture--my camera battery chose to die right before everyone started waving their guitars through the air. I stole this from an internet news site.)

Peace. Love. Hendrix.

Wow! I would have loved to hear that and played along. Great picture! Glad we got to see it.

Hahaha, I love your signoff.

I was just singing Mustang Sally the other day, oddly enough.

Oh and yes, that Andrea is most definitely the "Coooooookie" Andrea, and "Hey Phil" Andrea. As soon as she found me/friended me on facebook, I called Katie and was freaking out on her voicemail. I'm sure you can imagine it for yourself...there was plenty of "Wvvvvhhhhaaaaaaaaaaat????!"
