I returned from Germany after 18 days with a close to 200 pictures (not including those take by Lacey and Alicia). So, the following is an overview of what we did, where we went, and all the things we climbed.
Lace and I on Norderney. For some reason, we have a collection of photos similar to this one. They are staged in various countries and at various events (ie. Wangerooge, Wrocław, NWU graduation).

Mac the Snowman who we built in front of Lacey's house in Emden and Lucy the dog (not to be confused with Lacey the human being). Lucy was very helpful--she kept stealing Mac's arms.

The remnants of Mac the Snowman before we left for Wernigerode and the Harz Mountains. He has no face...

Commy car in Wernigerode.

Lacey and I wandering the foothills around the town. We had to pick up Alica at the train station that afternoon, so we decided to explore the surrounding area instead of going up into the real mountains.

Lacey makes friends very easily.

The Wernigerode city hall all decorated for Christmas.

To begin our hike to the top of the Brocken, we had to take a train ride from WErigerode to Schierke. In order to actually get a place to sit on the train, one has to pay extra. Well, we're cheap; so we stood...on the outside of the train. This involves wearing all the warm weather clothes possible. For us, this meant hats, scarves, multiple sweaters, two pairs of socks, and running tights.

And there is the summary of our adventure in pictures. Ta da!
