Lost In Transit

...well, not really. But it seemed to be a really good play on words. I'm more "unorganized" than "lost." Anyway...

My departure is set for September 9th...and that day seems to be approaching faster and faster. So I'm making the most of my time at home. Currently, everything I own is in a semi-organized pile in my father's garage, occupying the space that is usually reserved for the fishing boat. Apparently, this is unacceptable. So there's one of my projects (along with packing, spending time with grandma, finding a hostel in Berlin, and securing an adequate supply of conditioner). Last week, my parents and I moved the Baby Brother to Chadron State--it's strange to be at home without Jody tromping through the house and consuming vast quantities of hot dogs.

This past week, my daddy and I adventured through Colorado, covering 1,700 miles with his Victory motorcycle. We rode through the mountains, camped in Rocky Mountain National Park, and explored several waterfalls we discovered along our path.
The old man and I had talked about taking a motorcycle trip together for quite awhile, and this was the perfect opportunity. Though we didn't make it to New Mexico or Four Corners, we had a great ride, saw some beautiful scenery, and I really enjoyed spending the time with my daddy.

Next on the agenda: September 5th--my cousin's wedding. I have a purple dress...this will be interesting.
