Masa Krytyczna

Critical mass: noun
1.
Physics. the amount of a given fissionable material necessary to sustain a chain reaction at a
constant rate.
2. an amount necessary or sufficient to have a significant effect or to achieve a result: a critical
mass of popular support.

3. peaceful protest in which bikes take over city streets.

On the last Friday of every month, bike riders in PoznaƄ meet at 6:30 in the stary rynek and basically, spend an hour making motorists miserable. Well...it's not really that extreme. Critical mass is a global movement intended to raise awareness of alternative forms of transportation--such as bikes. Bikers ride in organized packs through the city streets displaying that bikes in mass transit can overwhelm care. San Francisco's may be the most well known.

Since the sun now goes down at 4:45ish, all my pictures are rather dark. But they shall do...Here's the beginings of the gathering in the rynek.
Ela and I are ready to reak havok on the city. And we're off! Through the streets and down all the major roads. This was a really fun way to see new parts of the city.

For about an hour, we were badasses on bikes.
