Once Again...

Jan left us on Friday, so we spent Thursday night with him at the public viewing of the EuroCup Germany v. Portugal game. Here, the EuroCup is bigger than a Husker game. There's a huge screen set up in the rynek where everyone can go watch the game. Almost every restaurant/cafe has TVs showing the game as well. Poland is out of the tournament, but there's still a few lingering "Polska" banners around. When we were in Gdansk, apartment complexes had 10-20 of these banners hanging out the windows. Even Ołowek had a few.
We had to sit on the cobble stones since we arrived too late and the bleachers were full. Nina and Steffi said we had to cheer for Germany--they're slightly biased. Most of the Poles were Portugal fans. Then, we went to Spiż for Jan's last carmel piwo.
Look at the talent:Then, there must be one last set of group pictures:We were trying to photograph ourselves on all the main fountains in the city center, but it was too dark by the University. And, we were getting some really odd looks from passers-by.In other "people that left" news: all the Indians left on Tuesday afternoon. That one was really difficult. It took three taxis to get them to the bus station, and about 20 minutes for everyone to say their goodbyes. I miss them already....
On a less sad note, here's Nina and I after our last "Crazy Theatre Guy" lecture:Just two essays and a trip to Kaszarowa to go...

I can't believe your semester's over. I mean, I can cause mine is too...but yours is more fun so it seems like it should last longer, no?

Even so, I'm glad you'll be home soon. Despite the fact that it doesn't mean I'm any more likely to see you until August.

This makes no sense. I think the jist of it is I'm sad/happy for you and you should/shouldn't be home so soon, haha.
