Peanutbutter just isn't the same on this side of the Atlantic. Even with a good apple or a chocolate cookie, it's not right. There's this strange, gritty quality to it. Europeans don't have a peanutbutter fetish because they've never been exposed to JIFF.
maggie! so i have this friend from budapest who is very adamant in his opinion that peanut butter and root beer are the two worst things that america has come up with. maybe it is just the lack of jiff. :)
