Daddy's Girl

It was another of those really gorgeous afternoons, here in Wroclaw. So, I took my reading and walked down to Ostrow Tumski. I ended up wandering around a bit and I stumbled upon a set of benches along the river behind the cathedral that I had never seen before. It was a nice place, so I hung out there for awhile. As I was walking towards home (I had to climb up some stone steps and go back around the cathedral), I noticed something interesting happening by St. John's. There was a Polish ladder truck...sort of like the one my daddy likes to drive. I talked to one of the firemen (the one who spoke English), and he said that they were helping some "expert man" inspect the statues on the towers of the cathedral.
I explained that my dad was a fireman in the United States, and asked if I could take a picture with the them and their truck. Both firemen were really enthusiastic about this, and they let me climb up on the truck. I was really excited about this.
I took this as I walked home:

I took lots of photos of the truck itself, just because I thought dad and his fireman buddies would get a kick out of it. But my internet is evil today, so I can't post them all...maybe tomorrow.

You are truely Daddy's little girl...but having the guts to go ask Polish Firemen if you can climb on their truck for a picture....that comes from your Momma. Keep having fun!!
PS-Next time, ask the Polish Fireman if you can turn on the lights and sirens!

"PS-Next time, ask the Polish Fireman if you can turn on the lights and sirens!"...It's just never good enough for that mom of yours, is it? She always just wants you to push it and push it.
