The week in photos

Saturday we took a day trip to hike on Mount Sleza about 100km outside the city. Well, it wasn't really a mountain, just a big hill. We've dubbed it the "over-rated hiking trip." Anyway, here's all the Erasmus students as we began our assent of the "mountain."

The really old, locked up church that was at the top. I wanted to go inside...

A view from the top. In my opinion, it looks a lot like Nebraska...except we don't have make-believe mountains. The guy from Munich who works for Texas Instruments and has a name that I can't remember, Prayanka, and I at the top. I think this was taken on the steps of the church.

The very big stone thing that lives on the top of a very steep hill. We climbed up there, stood around for a minute, and then walked back down. The Vietnamese Chemistry girl said, "They made us climb all the way up here, and they're not even going to tell us what this thing is?" I like the Vietnamese girl--she had a very good point.
If you look very closely, you can see the majority of Wroclaw's chemistry Masters students attempting to not fall down the "mountain." I certainly thought it was picture worthy. A view of the tiny little town of Sobotka, which lies at the bottom of our "mountain."

Today was a particularly beautiful day in Wroclaw. After Polish class, Lance and I walked home through Ostrow Tumski. So, I took more pictures. (Side story: Lance dropped his camera down the elevator shaft on Sunday night. For a split second when the doors open the two floors aren't lined up and there's a gap. Well, he dropped his camera perfectly and it fell right down...seven floors.)
I've become obsessed with the sunset--an attribute I blame on Megan Larsen. I have a really good view from my balcony. Yesterday:

Gorgeous shots from your window. Poor Lance--or poor camera.

I love your description of things like "big stone thing", haha. Though I guess it's not totally your fault if they never told you what it was.

And your daddy looks very amused by Martha.

Great pictures!!! Make every picture a memory and this experience will last your whole life. You're intelligent and creative, create the perfect experience each day and keep enjoying the sunsets, just don't start counting them.
Enjoy the day you create!!!
